Keratin is a great treatment for your hair!

The Brazilian Keratin Hair treatment straightens and treats your hair at the same time.

When the treatment is well done it will take approximately 2 hours or more depending on the length of the hair. Why this long? The treatment requires several steps and the sections that should be treated at a time need to be very small in order for it to last and really take.

Do not wash your hair for 2-3 days after the treatment is done. There are some treatments saying you don’t need to wait. All of the treatments done in Brazil require you to wait. Many have you come back to the salon 2 or 3 days later. Yes, during those days you can’t wash your hair and things get pretty dicey. Don’t put your hair up, no clips, no pony tails, don’t even put your hair behind your ears. Literally just leave it alone. No pool. No ocean.

However, it is very worth it. When done right it should last you anywhere from 3 – 6 months. The ones done in Brazil are generally promised to last 4 months. Of course, new hair grows out naturally and unaffected by this treatment.

Caution:

Important – Doing these treatments with formaldehyde products is very dangerous. These products were banned in Brazil for their absorption by the skin and scalp made many people very sick having to go to the hospital.
